Twiddleybitz Christmas Tree

Nic sent me my DT kit which included the Christmas Pine Tree and asked me to do something for the Penrith Papercraft Show last weekend... And this is what I came up with...

Very blingy and glittery :)

I had so much fun playing and putting this together, and seriously creativity is only limited by your imagination!!!

Continued from yesterday...

So I needed to make something else for Twiddleybitz

And this is what I came up with...

This started off being a layout, then I added it to a Twiddleybitz 12x12 frame.

The frame has been covered with textured paste, then spritzed with colors sprays, then gently dabbed off the excess spray color with tissues.
The layout has lots of Twiddley goodness on it :)

The photo was altered with a facebook app and I printed it onto canvas paper.

I am really happy with the out come.

Twiddleybitz November Blog Hop...

That was to be my intro for Sunday morning 9am... BUT blogger had other ideas.... Grrrrr
So we shall call it a technical glitch that really got the better of us all.

Anyhow this is what I did for the Twiddleybitz Blog Hop

~~So now it is time to LIVE a little and get creative :)~~

I decided to scrap a not so girlie theme in a real girlie way with lace and flowers and bling :)

Motor bike riding is big in our family with all 7 of us liking to ride :)

This is the layout I created :)

I really hope you enjoyed and drooled over the DT Angles gorgeous creations!!!
I am in constant awe of the creations these girls come up with and I have to say they are the BEST bunch of girls ever!!! With the technical glitches we had this weekend (behind the scenes it was really bedlam I can tell you, all thanks to blogger) these girls went above and beyond their call of duty to help each other out to get the blog hop to the success that it was. I have been lucky enough to have met some of the "Angels" in person and even lucky enough to call them my friends, I feel blessed... Luv ya girls ;)

Latest scrapping...

It has been a while between postings... My latest scrapping projects have been fun!!! Just playing with my Twiddleybitz and stuff I have in my stash!!! No more buying for me, I will be using what I have in my stash...

Playing with my BITZ and Rusting Powder!!! Gosh I love this stuff :)

My beautiful baby girl :) I just love this photo and the gorgeous Prima papers just set it off!!!

I chose the green on his T-Shirt for my accent color and I just love the way this layout has popped!!!

My ATC for Twiddleybitz DT frame that was displayed at the Perth Craft Show last weekend

Andrew outdid himself designing and making our gorgeous frame and Rach has done us all proud by putting it all together and even making a few extra ACT's :)

A mini Album I made for Troy's Mum... She just loved it!!!

I am really happy with the end result :)

And a bright layout :)

I love this photo, we have it printed in 12x10 and framed and it hangs in our dining room :)

Well that's about it for now...
I have two almost completed layouts on my dining room table that I am hoping to finish today along with making 4 mini albums :-)

Saying goodbye to a DT...

With all the changes in my life lately craft has taken a very back seat... Yes I miss it, but I am not complaining as I am really happy with these changes.
I am happier than I have been in a very very long time...
So something had to go, and saying goodbye to my DT position at LSBS. The decision to resign from the LSBS Design Team was not a decision I made lightly or easily. I had been there for almost 3 years and loved it!!! The other DT girls are so lovely and supportive and I know I have made some lasting friendships.
Nic is the awesomest DT Co-ordinator ever!!! Thanks Nic luv ya to pieces :)
Cath has been nothing but supportive of me over this time.
I am very thankful to have had time over at LSBS but I need to move on for myself.
I don't plan on giving up my craft, but time is limited and I will just have to squeeze in snippets when I can to keep the creative bugs at bay ;)

I scrapped!!! YAY me :)

It has been ages since I actually sat down and scrapped just coz I felt like it, and they fell into my DT criteria so that was an added bonus!!!

This is of Troy and Me just before I headed out to the Katy Perry concert with Julie & Leanne, Felicity took the photo. When I saw the photo, the Shoop Shoop song sung by Cher came to mind and fitted perfectly with what I wanted to achieve. The papers are from the BG Hopscotch range and the chipboard is from Twiddleybitz.
I so enjoyed putting this layout together, it is so nice to be able to scrap about the love of my life!!!

Lauren popped over one Sunday afternoon and I happened to be out in the back yard with the camera, so I mentioned that I didn't have any recent photo of the three of them. My girls happily obliged and with a little playing around in photoshop I am really happy with the "tweaking" of the photo. Again the papers are from the BG Hopscotch range, the butterflies were from the two dollar shop.

I have the creative bug, off to do some more creating!!!

Well I have managed to scrap three layouts this month ;) For me in 2011, this is an achievement!!!

I must say that it is really great to scrap the man in my life, it has been a long time since I have done that or had a man to scrap about :)

It's been a while...

My poor little blog has been severely neglected!!!
I haven't done much scrapping lately, actually I have only done 4 layouts this year... How sad :(
I will have to get cracking and get back into it, but life has changed for me, for the better... I have met a wonderful man whom I adore and along with my kids takes up most of my time, not that I am complaining I am happier than I have been in such a long time!!!

I will update with scrapping projects very shortly, well as soon as I have something to share ;)

Instead of just showing you a finished product, I thought I would do a tute so you can make something similar :)

This is what we will be making...

A sweet little Christmas Shadow Box...

You will need

Shadowbox Frame 6x6

Roman Clock Face - Large

Xmas Tinsel Border

Tabs Shape Tree - Christmas

Teenybitz Snowflakes

Merry Christmas Words 6 pack

Xmas Hugs word

Mirror Hearts

Shimmer Color Lucious Green

Non Shimmer Color Poppy

Black Ink Pad

White Paint

Dimensional Magic

Red Glitter

White Glitter

Gold Glitter

Rhinestones

Photo that can be cut into a 3 1/4" Circle

So lets get started...

I love, love, love giving Twiddleybitz chipboard the distressed look and it is so easy to achieve this look

Using the Ink pad and your shadow box, dab the ink pad randomly over each chipboard piece both sides and edges, turning the ink pad at different angles to get the random look. Construct the shadow box.

Also ink the supports as we will use these to give the shadow box depth

Adhere to the inside of the shadow box

Paint the Clock Face and the Xmas Hugs Word with White Paint.

Cover with Dimensional Magic and White Glitter (work in small areas at a time as the DM will dry rather quickly and the glitter won't stick)

Cut your photo into a 3 1/4" circle and adhere to the center of the Clock Face. Adhere the painted Clock Face to the center of the backing piece of chipboard.

Pop this into the back of the Shadow Box frame and secure.

Spray the Christmas Tree and the Tinsel Vine with Green Lucious Colorspray

Using the Merry Christmas Word, spray with Poppy Colorspray, cover with Dimensional Magic and Red Glitter.

Place the Merry Christmas Word on the Tinsel Vine and secure, place this on the top edge of the Shadow Box Frame.

Add Rhinestone to the Christmas Tree and using mounting Foam place in the lower right hand corner of the Shadow Box frame.

Add two Mirrored Hearts to the left hand side of the Clock Face.

Cover the Teenybitz Snowflakes with Dimensional Magic and cover with Gold Glitter. Place one on top of the Christmas Tree, and scatter the remaining 5 Snowflakes to the outer left side of the Shadow Box Frame

Violla` Your project is complete :)

**Note** To adhere all chipboard pieces I have used Pritt Power Gell

The Ink Pad I have used for this project is Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Black

My eldest DD and her boyfriend riding around on the Twins bike, this kept them amused for a couple of hours :) Just goes to show you are never to old to "play" :)
I used a Twiddleybitz Nero Wrought Iron Flourish, I cut the smaller flourish through the middle and added a Prima Spray :)
Used my all time FAV technique on the fence and word by painting them white, adding Dimensional Magic and White Glitter.

My Little Black Belts & Me...

Last Friday was Karate grading night at our Dojo, and my Munchkins were grading for their Black Belts...
They were a little nervous and a lot confident and they did me proud!!! 4 years of hard work has paid off.

Good morning and a Happy Sunday Morning to you all. Welcome to my little blog :) I am first cab off the rank today on the Twiddleybitz weekend of blog hopping... I hope you like what I have to show you.

I have been playing with a 6x6 Websters paper pad and some of the gorgeous new Christmas Twiddleybitz pieces Merry Christmas Card Words. These are very quick and easy to whip up.

I have done 3 different techniques with my Twiddleybitz pieces... Using my all time favorite products, Twiddleybits, Dimensional Magic, Glitter & Paint.

First... Is to paint the whole piece white, cover with Dimensional Magic and the sprinkle with a really fine glitter.

Second... Is to paint the words white, the leaves green and the berries red. Cover the white words with Dimensional Magic and sprinkle with a really fine glitter, then cover the leaves and berries with Dimensional Magic.

Third... Is to use the FABULOUS color sprays, I have used Green Lucious & Lippy. Spray the whole thing with the Green Lucious and the use a paint brush to add the Lippy to the berries, cover with Dimensional Magic.

See quick easy and really effective :)

As you can see I am a little addicted to Dimensional Magic and Glitter, but the results are fantabulous!!! These are some of my favorite Techniques to do with the AMAZING twiddleybitz Chipboard.

Latest scrapping...

I haven't shared any scrapping of late, between working heaps and being slack, it hasn't eventuated. But here are some projects that I have done in the past couple of months...

This one was for SC Music Theme, Issue 80. I love how this one turned out. I wanted this to be photographed in a rural setting, but with all the rain we had been having everywhere was so wet and muddy, so I purposely let my front lawn grow so I could get the results I was after. Using gorgeous Twiddleybitz products. (sorry about the over exposure, but unknown to me my lens was broken, all fixed now though)

About time for an update...

It's been a while between updates, I have been very busy with work, crafting and life in general. I have done a fair bit of scrapping but a lot I can't share because it has either been commissioned pieces, or pieces been picked up for publication. But I will share what I can.
My Munchkins are about to grade again for Karate, they are going for their brown belts black stripes... The next grading after that will see them go for their junior black belts, not bad for a couple of 10 year olds :)

This was Miss Fliss' attempt for the kids challenge at the May LSBS CyberCrop, she had so much fun doing this challenge, she doesn't scrap very often but when she does she really enjoys it.

This was my challenge I set for the LSBS May CyberCrop... The challenge was to scrap something from your everyday life and incorporate the colors of red, brown & green.

This was LSBS DT Challenge set by Miss Nic, it was to scrap about our Mum's... This is my Mum with my Kids :) I love the relationship these guys all have.

This was me on my wedding day nearly 20 years ago and I am now only able to scrap the photos from this part of my life, funny how you have to be in the right place in your life to scrap certain photos.

I love love love this layout, it turned out so much better that I imagined... Although it did take me 3 attempts to scrap it, I am so happy with the results... This is my POP (god rest his soul) in his army uniform in WWII, I only just found out when scrapping this photo that he was a Sergeant... I m loving these old family photos and will be scrapping the a lot more. Loving all the Twiddleybitz products... I feel so blessed to be on the Twiddleybitz Design Team :)

This is my kids doing something they do pretty much on a daily basis... The tramp as it is know in our household is regularly used and the kids get so much enjoyment out of it.

I just love this picture of my baby girl... And I scrapped it just coz I could, not particular reason, no story behind it...

My big Girl Lauren went for her P's last Saturday and she got them!!! It is really weird seeing her driving up the road all by herself... But I am so happy for her to have some independence. She is still working hard at her job in her Trainee ship of being a Chemist Assistant.

it's been a while...

Yesterday my Munchkins & I spent a lovely enjoyable day with friends and were lucky enough to have a few photos done of us, this is one of my favs... It's been a L*O*N*G time since we have had some family photos done... Thank Michael :)

One the scrapping front I have done some... Some I can't share because it either has been for the magazines, yep I have had a couple of commissioned pieces, yay me!!! And some is for Twiddleybitz for the upcoming SIA in May... SO looking forward to this :)

I have also been scrapping for LSBS :) This weekend sees the April CC, so if you are feeling in a crafty mood, go scrap...

Basic Grey...CHA Winter 2010

OMG!!! I have just seen the new Basic Grey released and CHA Winter... I think I'm in LURVE!!!

Sugar Rush... Mmmm Mmmmm... Love these colors, so fresh and summery ;)

Max & Whiskers, just love these and I can see me using them!!! They are so cute ;)

Kioshi.... Not to sure about this one, I think it will be a "need to see IRL"

Green at Heart... I think this is my favorite!!! And I NEED some of that in my stash ;)

Cappella... I think this would be gorgeous with heritage and wedding photos :)

Origins... I think this is another one I would like to see IRL before I comment...

Can't wait for these new lines to hit our shores!!! Better start saving now me thinks ;)

Busy week...

Saturday saw me up Sydney way for a Twiddlebitz trade class taught by SherryMendosa... What a great day :) I also got to meet Jo Kinder and Tiff Sawyer... These girls are just awesome!!!

Nothing to share scrapping wise this week, yet...
Lots happening in our personal lives though...
Monday saw me go for a job interview, tonsillitis, flu bug and all...
The ladies were really lovely and I had a good feel about everything.
Then we went to the Marketplace as I wanted to get some photos printed at Big W... And while walking around Big W the drugs were wearing off and I started to feel like crap, I got soooo cold, so my gorgeous little man took off his jacket and put it around me shoulders then proceeded to walk around the shop with me cuddling me to try and keep me warm.
We also got their school shoes.

Tuesday and Wednesday I was still dying with germs. But Wednesday I went and had a weigh in and measure and to my surprize I had lost 4.2 kilo!!! Woo Hoo!!! And 3cm off my waist... Great seeing as it was over the Christmas period...

Thursday the girls came over for a playday so there was some scrapping and some chatting and some swimming :) TOPS day!!!

Friday I got a phone call that made me one very happy little chickie :) I got the job!!! How flippin' awesome is that!!! I start in two seeks :) So to celebrate me and the Munchkins had a day out :) We went to the movies and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeekual and then went bowling and then to Squizzlers for dinner... We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Saturday we were going to be heading to a friends house for a playday, but fist of all I couldn't find my glasses, then... My litle man came down with a tummy bug that game him horrid tummy cramps, then I got the tummy cramps and were were both not doing too well. Much better this morning I must say although I can still feel a few crampy pains in my tummy, hope they don't get any worse...

Today I am going to attack my lawns.... With being sick for the past week and a half they have gotten out of control!!! The weather is good, nice and cool and the drizzle seems to have stopped, so off this darn computer and get cracking!!!

Oh and be sure to log onto LSBS tonight around 7.30pm for something BIG!!!

January 2010...

Well here it is... My first post for 2010...
Lots been going on both around the house and scrapping wise.
Around the house... Master A's room is finished and he is moved in and settled, and he just loves it!!! I must admit I was a bit worried about the color when I first started painting the walls, but once it had its 3 coats and then the carpet went down and his furniture in, it toned it down and the color has really grown on me.

The mowing seems to be out of control, I just seem to get all the mowing done and it needs doing again... I wouldn't mind so much if it was a quick job, but even with the help of Master A it takes about 6 hours to do...

We have has a few days out, visiting with friends and having some playdays and just enjoying ourselves... it has been really lovely.

But since last Thursday I have been sick... It started off with infected tonsils to which I was given anti-biotics, mind you it makes me laugh... You have one hell of a sore throat, can hardly even swallow your own spit and the anti-biotics are the size of horse tablets!!! Go figure... Anyway Sunday afternoon I think they are finally starting to kick in, only to wake up Monday morning feeling like total crap, so back to the doctors to find out I have the flu to go with my tonsillitis!!! sheesh... I am making to most of my body having some rest and my kids pampering me :)

Now on the scrapping front I have done a few project lately...

This layout is of my Pop using the gorgeous Bo Bunny Flutter Butter range (I can't get enough of these papers) and some gorgeous Twiddleybitz chipboard pieces... I so love this layout!!!

This is a Twiddleybitz Fancy Shadow box that I turned into a clock, I am really happy with the way this turned out.

And finally for Twiddleybitz a layout of my big girl and her man... So love how this one turned out :)

This was my challenge for the January CC over at LSBS... The theme was freestyling... And my 'mini them' was free to be me... So it was to scrap some photos of you or someone in your family doing something that makes you feel free, so I chose to scrap Miss Fliss doing karate :)

This is a self challenge over at LSBS that I am running this year called 2010 by the Month... You know when you get photos that you want to capture the moment but may not necessarily want to do a whole layout on, well this is a great way to capture the moments in a smaller way...

And a layout for LSBS using the ever so cool Graphic 45 papers... When I first saw these papers I wasn't overly impressed, but I have to say the more I use them the more I want to use them...

I scrapped a layout today and I am really really happy with it... It is of Miss Fliss and Kingston...
I don't very often use purple as it is so not my color to use, but it is Miss Fliss' favorite color...

Aren't these handmade flowers gorgeous??? Sherry is making them to sell, go over to her etsy store and have a look for yourself... Yummo!!!

I have a BOX FULL of stuff I need to photograph and upload onto the "for sale" blog... Coming soon as I NEED my dining room table back :(

Been really really busy around here...
Painting of bedroom, new fan & light in the bedroom, finishing off the ensuit with new light and exhaust fan, and a new tenant in that said bedroom!!! One happy camper...
The main bathroom...
Well tiles have been pulled off, villa board pulled off, leaking pipe fixed, insurance assessor been and assessed, now to get onto the insurance company to see when we can get the ball rolling!!!

I love my backyard, but when it i almost 40 degree heat and the ride on throws the drive belt 5 times then on the 6th time it breaks, I do not like my 'BIG' backyard quite as much... Then I really really love my pool :) LOL... But the mower has a new belt and mowing the lawns on the weekend was OK, hot but OK...
Still cleaning, sorting and throwing stuff... Yesterday it was my scrap area that got hit!!! Not yet finished but a good start was achieved.
The past weekend it was Paperific down in Melbourne... I wasn't able to go, a bit to far bu a couple of my Twiddlybitz project were there... I will share them shortly.
On the scrapping front I have done a little... I have been playing in a 6 week challenge over at Arty Pants.
Week two of the Arty Pant challenge... These photo are from the Scrapgirls retreat last March, we had such a great time!!!

This is one of the 'old' family photos I managed to get my hands on, it is my Nan on her wedding day... I just LOVE this photo and the Bo Bunny papers were just perfect for it... Love how it turned out.

This is another layout from the Arty Pants challenges, I soooooo love this layout, I think it is my FAV for a long time, it just worked out better than I expected. this is me and my bestie at another Scrapgirls retreat... I so love this girl!!!

Not really anything to share on the creative side of things, although I have done a little... A few pages for the upcoming Scrapgirls retreat in about 10 days time...
But we have been getting so much accomplished around the house... Seriously the house inside looks messy but it really isn't, with all the cleaning out of stuff there are piles that have new homes to go to, I just haven't gotten around to putting them there as yet, but we are getting there...
Lauren's new bedroom is now finished and she has moved in, just need to finish getting the crap out of her old room then renovations will start in there and the bathroom.
On the weekend my boy helped me and we got all the mowing done, what a huge job that was but the yard looks so good!!!
Today we have a couple of 'things' to do along with hopeful making a start on getting the sorted stuff into their new homes...
Lauren has her first HSC exam tomorrow... I am so very proud of her for all that she has accomplished!!!
Off to hang out the washing and get some things done...

A little Scrapping and a lot of housework...

What a busy couple of weeks... Phew... Lots of cleaning out and chucking of crap and getting some sense of normality around the place...
Yesterday I did 8 loads of washing, yep 8!!! Where the heck did it all come from... Actually I know coz I can see my laundry floor and the kids cleaned their rooms... Amazing the places they can stash stuff... I got 5 of those loads folded, Lauren did a basket of ironing for me, Alastair cleaned the bathroom (he asked if he could do it, and I was not silly enough to say no) Felicity finally finished cleaning her room... Then we also managed to get some painting done, cleaned the crap out of the toy room, thoroughly clean the kitchen and tidied up in the shed...

I have actually managed to do some scrapping this past week, amazing!!! LOL Anyhow I have had this MME paper sitting in my stash since about the beginning of the year and was waiting for the right photo... When I saw this photo of Miss Lauren and her friends at their year 12 formal I knew it was a match... I have kept the layout relatively simple as I didn't want to cover up the patterned paper... I used heaps of stuff from my stash and just went to town.

This layout is from Belle's challenge from the October CyberCrop over at LSBS... This is the only photo of me and my girl at her year 12 graduation last month... Not the greatest of photos but one that is special to me.

I used stuff from my stash that I have had for ages... A gorgeous SEI paper kit and the chipboard butterflies and scroll I got from the Stitches and Craft show back in August... I am really happy with the way it turned out.

Today is going to be another busy day... More washing to be folded and ironed, painting to be done and lawns to be mowed... It is never ending... But there is a light at the end of the tunnel and when I look at the trailer down the back yard and see it starting to overflow with the crap we have thrown out... I feel good!!!

What a big day it was in our house yesterday...
Lauren graduated year12!!!
Where has the time gone... I remember her first day of school so well and it really does seem like yesterday...

WOW where has the time gone.... Almost the end of term 3... Well actually I am a tad happy about that coz it mean that I get to spend two whole weeks with my babies :) And that makes me very happy in my heart!!!
My Big girl only has 8 days left before she graduates from year 12!!! OMG!!! I cannot believe she has almost finished her schooling...

Not a lot happening on the scrapping scene lately, too much going on in my personal life... Very hectic but all is good!!!

This my Challenge for 52 Pick Up... Challenge #37... All the details can be found HERE it is called "Blast from the Past"...
I have had these creative Imagination papers for ages and I really do like them, so this was an opportunity to have a play :)

This is Miss Helen & Me at the 2009 LSBS Retreat... I really like this photo of us :)

My beautiful native vine... Oh how I love it when this is in full bloom, and thankfully with the winds not too bad this year it has been in flower for almost a month now...

And the beautiful may bushes... Love the crisp white flowers...

Spring has sprung and my 'declutter' of the house is in full swing... The kitchen copped it first, we pulled everything out of all the kitchen cupboards and the drawers and had a BIG cull!!! 5 BIG garbage bags of stuff that either we don't use, is broken or is just crap... Out it goes and boy does it feel good ;) I actually have one empty cupboard and the other cupboards have room in them, nothing is cramped in...
next on the list this weekend is the toy room... Oh how I am going to love doing this one!!! ;)

'Bout time for an update...

Gosh a lot to catch up on... I sometime forget that I have a blog... LOL.
Earlier in the month there was the LSBS Retreat, and what an awesome weekend it was!!! I picked up Miss Kylie and we went and had a delicious lunch and did a little shopping/browsing. We arrived at 2pm and helped Cath, Gill & Bree to unload the 'owl' and the 'budgie'... And then set up the tables... So with luggage in our rooms, scrap crap on our tables it was time to let the weekend begin!!! It was so worth it going the extra day and starting on the Thursday, we had the bestest time and I haven't laughed so much in a long time... Caught up with old friends, met new friends and and made new friends... What more could a girl ask for!!!
I enjoyed it so much that I have already paid my deposit for next year!!!

Lauren is currently doing her HSC trials and trying to get her major works finished... Only 3 more months and my baby girl will be finished her schooling...Sigh... The time has gone so quickly...

My Munchkins are doing well... They are still doing their Karate and by the end of the year will be brown belts, and by next June will be black belts.
My boy has started in an extended maths program at school that has been taken on by one of the teachers... There are 10 kids in the program, 2 from each year (years 2-6) Yep is is a clever kid my boy... Not sure where he gets his smart genes from... I am thinking my Dad ;)

I have been going through a series of tests of late, feeling dizzy and spaced out a bit (no smart comments to that thanks very much)!!! So heaps of scans and xrays and visits to different specialists, which all the scans have come back clear, thank goodness, I am now down to the blood tests... We are thinking it is due to my low blood pressue, which I found out in the last couple of days that both my Mum & Dad have low blood pressure. Apparently this is a good thing as we won't suffer with heart disease or heart attacks, I guess that is good to know.
Anyhow with the warmer weather starting to roll in the bike has been making a few visits out of the shed, and with Lauren only having to be at school on the days she has exams, we have been out a bit.... Sooooooo love going out on the bike!!!

This is my layout for Challenge #31 over at LSBS for 52 Pick Up... The re-invention of vellum and no cardstock challenge.

I absolutely love this cheeky photo of my boy... This is what I got when I asked him to give me a smile... LOL... This is a DT layout for LSBS... I just love these Carolees Creations papers, and it helps that they have orange in them.

At the LSBS retreat we were given a wooden word to do with what we liked, so I rummaged through the 50c paper box and found these older kaiser papers that worked perfectly with my photo... I so love this photo of our gorgeous boy Kingston... This is definitely a case of pushing the button at the right time to get this photo...

This is my Challenge for the August CC over at LSBS, the photo was taken at the 2009 LSBS Retreat, and as much at the title might not be appealing to some, it is a term of endearment to us :) Loved playing with the BG Lemonade papers, just so noice ;)

Well I think that is about as good as it gets for an update :) Lets see if I can update again without there being a 3 or so month gap in between ;)

In my next life...

In my next life I am coming back as an paediatric dentist!!! Miss Fliss' spacer fell out earlier in the week, I went to our local dentist but he wasn't able to put it back in, so yesterday morning we had to go the the paediatric dentist, we were in there for 10-15 minutes.... $150!!! WTF!!! Grrrr Then yesterday afternoon had all 3 kids to the doctors... I have been a kind Mummy and shared my horrible flu germs with the kids :( Now they are all sick.... and Lauren has migranes... 4 tablets =$33... OMG!!! I told her to only take them if she REALLY needs them... That is bloody rediculous I tell ya!!! Although she did happilly tell me that was cheap compared to viagra which are $75 for 4... Yep I really needed to know that!!! That's the info you get when your DD works at a chemist ;)
So Miss Fliss is on anti-biotics because she is really not well, poor little mite, Master A is still on anti-biotics and has been for the past two weeks...
And Lauren... Well I couldn't get any anti-hormonal drugs for her, but so wish I could!!!
I think I am in for an interesting weekend... The men in white coats might be looking for me and that might not be a bad thing :)

Some scrapping...

I have done a little, not much but some...
This first one is my challenge for 52 pick up over at LSBS... My challenge is to do a monochromatic layout... This is our beautiful girl Jess... And at the moment I am loving green.

This one was my sketch challenge for LSBS cybercrop last weekend, I thoroughly loved the challenge and I totally love the new Bo Bunny Alyssa papers available at LSBS.

This layout is the result of a challenge set by Belle... the challenge was to scrap a layout in eachothers style, and because Belle and I are total opposites in the way we scrap, we thought it would be a good challenge :) I did stress a bit about doing the challenge, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and not a ruler in sight to be seen ;)

That's it from me for scrapping... Haven't done much lately but hopefully that will change.

I Luv my bestie...

When times get tough you really find out who your friends are... But then again I always knew that this one was speshul... I am talking about my bestie who rang me this morning and asked me if I had any plans for today, and after a couple of thing I had to do this morning my day was free, so she informs me that now it wasn't.
We met up to check out a new venue for an upcoming ScrapGirls retreat and I decided to ride my bike, afterall it is a lovely day... Awesome ride apart from the FK'n idiot that tried to kill me!!! Some moron pulled out from a stop sign then decided to stop 3/4 of the way across my lane then thought he would move forward a tad then stop.... I didn't know which way to go, the brakes slammed on the back wheel locked up and slid sideways to the left and I am still going down the road, then I released the brakes a bit and then locked them on fully and thankfully nothing was coming in the other direcion I had to go into the oncoming lane to get around him, all the time my heart was in my throat and I really thought I was a gonner... Blood idiot!!! I had to pull over for a few minutes to recompose myself!!! How I got out of that one unscathed I do not know... If I do say so myself I handled the bike bloody brilliantly!!! Just don't ask me to do it again ;)
And that was on the way to meet up with Miss Kylie... then I got lost but then found my way there... Well worth the trip!!! Absolutly gorgeous!!!
Road the bike home uneventfully, thank goodness :)

All talked out...

I have to say I never thought I would say this but... I am seriously all talked out!!!
Been on the darn phone all day nearly... Telstra was just over an hour and actually quite unhelpful but I have managed to reduce my telstra bill by $135 per month although the kids are not going to be happy with me when they find out that foxtel has gone...
Centrelink lady was really lovely and couldn't have been more helpful... And has lines me up two appointments already...
Insurance company to fix my broken bathroom... well I don't think they are going to pay for it and that will tick me off!!! But hopefully... Seeing as I am expecting the worse I am hoping for a surprize but not holding my breath.
Motor mechanic for a possible car we found for Lauren... nope!!! The car is only $2000 which is a great buy, but it needs a new windscreen and it is out of rego... yep I knew that but thankfully I got my mechanic to check it out and it needs shockies front and rear, a couple of bushes need replacing, the electronics for the speedo and taco is caputt, the engine has a couple of oil leaks and the exhaust has a leak... and because it has been out of rego for more than 3 month it will need a blue slip, so that means over the pits and I am not prepared to there to possibly be more things wrong. With the list above I am already looking at spending $3000, add that to the $2000 for the asking price of the car... Nope not paying that!!!
Spoken to my Mum & Dad a few times today also, then the kids school rang and Miss Fliss' spacer fell out from her teeth... All that money and dental surgery 12 months ago and it has fallen out, it is suppose to last until her 12 year old molars come through, she has only just turned 9!!! Off to the dentist tomorrow... More money to try and find.... Grrrrrrr

Anyhow it has been quite a productive day, my head is in a spin and my stomach is still in knots but baby steps...

Today is a new day...

And time to move on... I still don't know where I am heading right now but it has to be forward. A lot happened yesterday and it was also a long time coming, but still a shock.
Who knows what the future hold for us... I do know that I have a lot of hard work ahead of me but I think this is a good thing.
I am ready for a change.

This is where I am at right now...
Lots happening in my personal life and I just need to try and deal with it all... Feeling down in the dumps, feeling depressed, feeling anxious and feeling just plain crappy!!! I wish this knot in my stomach would go away...
I NEED to make some changes, some serious some for peace of mind and some just coz I want to. I do not know what tomorrow will bring, lets just hope it is better than today...

I know there are a few of you that read this blog, but don't panic... this post is more for me as I hopefully travel a new road... I need to be able to reflect back on this time and HOPE that when I do I am in a better place, coz right now I am not in a good place, both mentally and physically.

A new bedroom...

My baby man finally has his bedroom back... After several months (you can't hurry these things) he is back in his 'new' room, freshly painted, brand new carper, brand new bed and a brand new tall boy.

There is still some sorting to do but almost done... His room looks absolutely fantastic!!! I am so happy with it. he chose the paint color himself and the carpet, although the carpet he got was his second choice, his first choice was 80% pure wool that was going to cost $1200 just for his little room. But he loves it and I love it so all is good. I kept checking in on him after he went to bed and he could wipe the huge smile on his cheeky happy little face... I so love my little man.
While Lauren & I were putting the bed together (fiddly little bugger it was) we had some 'help' Kingston & Oska thought it would be fun to climb in all the boxes and lay for a snooze right where we needed to work.

This is the layout I did for my challenge over at the LSBS CC last Friday night.
The theme was Dr Seuss and I went with the book I want to be somebody new, interpreted as I want to try something new. I am not one to use circles much on my layouts, so this was a challenge for me also... I used the new BG Bittersweet papers and just love them!!!

In my LSBS DT kit this month I got some Porcelain paper and stickers... how gorgeous are they!!!
This photo of Miss Fliss was taken when we went away camping a couple of weeks ago to Soldiers Point... The photo was a tad blury but I really wanted to use this photo so I added an illustration filter and I am so happy with outcome.

This coming weekend is the Scrapgirls retreat at Castlereigh... I am really looking forward to catching up with the girls and maybe getting some scrapping done...

My little Man gets the new carpet layed in his room tomorrow. Lauren & I went shopping and bought him a new bed & matress and also a new tall boy today ready to go in his room tomorrow, he is very excited :)

Well I am off to bed, I have a very busy day tomorrow...

Create with some scrummy new products I have here for LSBS - Oh yes please :) Today I will start!!!

Oska is still oily but apparently is will come out... Don't think I will try the bath again unless I really have to, he so hated it... He is fine he just looks a mess lol.

I am going to splurge today and get my hair done, haven't been to the hairdressers for ages apart from to have it cut, so toady I am having it cut, colored and foils!!!

Tonight my Munchkins have a sparing night at Karate and they are really looking forward to that.

In two weeks it is Fliss' birthday party, she is having 7 little friends over and we are doing a pamper party, hair, make up, painting nails, facials etc... real girly stuff... It should be a fun night, oh and they are all sleeping over... Hope they are good girls!!!

The weekend after that is Alastair's birthday party, he wants a ten pin bowling party which suits me just fine!!! I cannot believe my babies are turning 9!!!

Then in three months my big baby is turning 18!!! OMG how did that happen??? That can't be right, I must have added it up wrong somewhere along the line...

Well the ironing is a calling and I NEED to respond

What I have learnt today...

I have learnt that leaving a pan of oil on the stove (for putting away later) and going out for a few hours is so not a good idea with a mischievous kitten at home... We got home a found the kitten quite 'wet' only it wasn't water it was oil!!! And my oh my the kitchen floor was a mess, oil everywhere!!! I didn't notice it when I can inside coz I was too busy trying to get to the loo ;)
The cleaning of the kitchen was the easy part, the cleaning of the kitten was something else... Let me just say he does not like to have a bath... Scratches to me were kept to a minimum due to some quick reflexes, LOL.

And from this experience I have learnt that I should not leave a work in progress layout on my scrapping table... Not unless I want oil remenants all over it!!! Results... one layout ruined!!! And I worked on this layout ALL DAY yesterday, I kid you not!!! It was suppose to be for my challenge for the LSBS CC this coming Friday night... But alas all is not lost, I have another idea, just hope I have enough time to pull it off!!!

I have also learnt today that those annoying fine droplets of rain whilst riding ones motor bike down the freeway at 110kms per hours with open faced helmet hurt!!! My cheeks felt like they were being pricked with hundres of tiny needles... sharp pointy needles....

But I did get some photos printed today at Big W, and I am sooooooo happy with them (even though we had to wait two and a half hours coz the printing machine broke down).... They will be apearing on layouts soon, stay tuned to this blog, LOL. I have been playing in photoshop, just going for it... Not really knoing what I am doing but loving the results... I have my photoshop notebook for Tracy next to me and it is getting lots of information added to it so I can remember what to do next time!!!

I scrapped...

OMG!!!
I actually scrapped!!!
First time in 3 weeks but I did it!!!
This is a challenge I did for the Scrapgirls retreat in 9 more sleeps ;) The photo was taken on the weekend when we were at Soldiers Point.

And then from the scraps I made some birthday cards, these were very quick and easy to make.

My boy is back to school today, black eye and all. Then this afternoon I get a phone call from the kids school saying the Fliss has fallen over and grazed above her knee, she was OK but they needed to check what sort of dressing they could use as it was above the knee (she has an allergy to the sticky plaster and we have to be careful as to where we use band aids on her skin, otherwise the skin will peel off when the band aid comes off) she is fine just another graze.
Loz is still off school, we went back to the doctors yesterday and she is on another anti-biotic and predesone, she has infected sinuses.
I am attempting to do my challenge for the LSBS CC this coming Friday, but not having much luck. Will finish the one I am doing and then I will try again.

Packed to the Rafters has just started, so I am off

Great weekend...

We had a lovely weekend of camping with Kylie & family :) We arrived at Soldiers point around lunchtime Saturday and the kids just took off... They went and played down at the water, rode their bikes and waveboards and went swimming in the pool. Poor Connor was not well so Kylie & I took him to the local to get checked out.

We took heaps of photos and I loved this one but it was a tad blurry, my camera allows me to edit a little and then save it as a new file to the SD card. This has a illustration filter... I love the look of it.

This one is of Fliss & Shanice. I had a little play in photoshop and I think it looks tops!!! I am going to Big W this afternoon to get a heap printed.

This one is of Fliss and is straight from the camera, no editing. I love the colors of the sunset in it.

We packed up on Sunday morning and my baby man had a stack on his waveboard, he has a lovely black eye/cheekbone, grazed arms and knees, and a grazed nose... Thanks goodness he was wearing his stack hat. He is off school today and going to the doctors this afternoon.
We headed up to see my Mum & Dad for a couple of hours, Mum cooked the kids her special spaghetti for lunch and they were very happy. We headed home at 1pm and at the end of the F3 copped HEAPS of rain, it rained so hard that I had to slow down to 80 kms, got home at 4pm totally exhausted but very happy.
We were all in bed early last night.
Lauren is still not well with her infected sinuses, she is also going back to the doctors this afternoon...

Well I need to go do some housework before I head off to pick Fliss up from school and go to gymnastics and the doctors.

Karate...

Tonight was Karate grading... What a top night!!! Alastair & Felicity were awesome!!! they knew all their katas and were very confident in all their moves, Alastair even got to do some with the brown belts.
They are now green belts first brown tips.

This is Felicity doing part of her demo team stuff, she so loves doing this!!!

I am so very proud of both my babies, they are just fabalos!!!

Back to sewing...

Yesterday I bought myself a new watch, well this will be the third one since Christmas. The kids bought me one for Christmas (one of those pressie I bought myself and let the kids give it to me) anyhow after a couple of wares the pins fell out and it had to be sent away to be repaired. I got it back and the first time I wore it the pin fell out again, so I took it back and they gave me a refund... Michael Hill jewelers were fab about it, and so they should be it was a $300 watch. I found one I liked in Prouds on Tuesday and they had to take some links out, I got home and tried it on again but it was too tight, and if they put one link back in it was far too loose, so I took it back yesterday and swapped it for another one and I just love it!!! totally different to anything I have had before, but I am really happy with it. I love all the filigree work in the bands.

I have been collecting these fabrics for a few years now and Miss Fliss spotted them and commented how much she liked them, so I am making her a lap quilt :)
All the squares have been cut and now I just have to sew them all together, I have started and hopefully by next week I will have them done.

I also signed up for a block of the month stitchery quilt, I haven't one one for ages and am so looking forward to getting back into it, I have missed my sewing...

This weekend we have been invited by Kylie & her family to go camping, it will be the first time for A & F, Loz won't go... her style of camping is sleeping on the lounge of a five star hotel, LOL.
And Bob is staying home, so tiz just the 3 of us!!! We are going to Nelson's Bay.

Tonight my Munchkins have Karate grading, they are going for green belt first brown tip. Then after the grading Fliss has a Demo Team display to do for Karate (yep she is in the demo team and doing very well).

Well I need to go do my ironing and fold some washing so I can go away for the weekend, coz I know I won't feel like doing it when I get home on Sunday

I must say I was totally floored when reading the email... I just want to clarify that permission was not given by myself or Suz for that to be written and published all over the countryside...

Home grown Aussie scrapbooking personalities and long term Tarisota designers Suz Doyle and Tracy Wyldman have been dumped from Tarisota's Design Team. The announcement was made on 24 Feb 2009 on Tarisota's blog. (Read the Tarisota announcement here.)

Suz Doyle commented on her departure via her blog here. Ms Doyle will continue on in her other role with Aussie Scrap Source.

Tracy Wyldman commented on her departure here. According to statements on her blog, it appears that Ms Wyldman intends to discontinue her scrapbooking blog and any form of public scrapbooking.

My little typepad blog hasn't had so many hits ever!!!

Oska...

Look at this gorgeous little man!!! Isn't he just the sweetest little furball!!!

This is Oska and he belongs to my Munchkins, he is now almost 19 weeks old and he is just gorgeous!!! he is great company and he loves to sleep on my scrap table probably coz it is next to the computer, he really loves to be around people, he is very affectionate and very sweet and we just love him to pieces!!!

I know my little blog is not overly public and that's the way I want it, I started this blog for me but I have also shared the link with those of you who care. But I would like to thank the gorgeous ladies who have taken the time and gone to the trouble to either leave a blog post, email me or PM me with your kindness and your lovely words. You cannot know how much you have touched me and made me realize that some things in life are so not worth worrying about. I am happy to say that I have moved on and I feel good :)

Still not overly fussed in scrapping, but I know that will come coz it is in my blood (thanks Karlene) and I do enjoy it and my kids enjoy it, and Oska would not be happy coz then he wouldn't be sprawled all over my table while I try and scrap... He has taught me one thing and that is not to procrastinate too much or my stuff will be everywhere, I have learnt very quickly to stick things down, LOL or they will be 'Oska-ized', he so loves to re-arrange things.

Well I am off to attack the housework

Sunday...

Yesterday Miss Kylie came over for a playday and it was just what I needed!!! Thanks Luvie ;)
We went shopping, we ate yummy stuff, we chatted (lots) and we even managed to craft and I actually enjoyed it, who would have thunk??? Although I did stuff up the first creation, but the second one was good!!!
Connor stayed over and the boys have gone to the steam festival, Fliss is at a birthday party till 2pm, Loz is at a friends house and will be home some time this afternoon, so I am here all by myself, well apart from Oska sprawled out on my scrap table and Kingston curled up at my feet, LOL.
Today I am going to update my 52 Pick Up Challenge Book, and then I plan on getting my challenges up to date!!!
A have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that has either PM'd, emailed or left a post on my 'other' blog... Your words of kindness have touched me in a way you can not know, so thank you from the bottom of my heart...
I feel good now and moving forward!!! And I am starting to get the urge to want to maybe do a little scrapping... I am going to do some patchwork this week, I have my squares all cut out and ready to sew for Fliss' lap quilt, can't wait to get started on this!!! I have also signed up for a block of the month quilt, it should be here early next week ;)

Today is a new day...

And I am feeling better It’s amazing the difference a day makes…

My baby is not well… He has been home from school today with tummy cramps which then went on to be a gastric bug, poor little mite. He is better this evening, so that is good that it is not a long lasting bug.

I still don’t feel like scrapping and to be quite honest I have no inclination either, but I have been told that could change in the very near future, lol thanks Nic ;0

Miss Kylie might be coming down for a playday on Saturday which will be lovely but also sad as they were suppose to be going away for the weekend in their new caravan, but poor Anthony is not well so they might not be able to go, get better soon Anthony.

My baby girl has a birthday party to go to on Sunday, so there goes my weekend, lol… But that’s OK coz I like it when we are busy. Maybe after the party we are going to go shopping and start getting stuff for her party, she is having 6 friends over for a ‘girly’ party, god help me.

I have been super busy doing some computer work, because I want to and because I can… it is going to be super when I have finished.

Today I have a new job, a volunteer love job. I am now committee member and treasurer of Miss Fliss’ gymnastics club, what have I let myself in for… All will be good, I am happy to help out, it is a great little club and Miss Fliss just loves it there.

Hi huney I'm home...

Time for a change... I guess that's a good excuse to move on!!!

So here I am in a new place with unfamiliar surroundings but looks OK ;)

Today was a hard day between emails and phone calls I have shed a few tears, but I am moving on, I am ready to move on!!!

Thanks girls you are the bestest!!! And I luv you guys!!! Mwah ;)

In just over 3 weeks it is the ScrapGirls retreat!!! YAY!!!

Anyway I have been playing with a challenge it and have done this...

These papers are so fresh!!! I love bright colors :)

off to do some redecorating around here...
